Robert Allen Attended the CFTC’s Market Risk Advisory Committee

#FMXFuturesExchange President Robert Allen is a member of the CFTC’s Market Risk Advisory Committee (“MRAC”). On March 8th, Robert attended the Committee’s public meeting in Washington, D.C. During its meeting, the #MRAC discussed cybersecurity, developing a regulatory framework for digital assets, CCP risk and governance, and the remaining transition away from #LIBOR to #SOFR.

CFTC Commissioner Kristin N. Johnson sponsors the #MRAC, which advises the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission on matters relating to evolving market structures and the movement of risk across clearinghouses, exchanges, intermediaries, market makers and end-users. It examines systemic issues that threaten the stability of the derivatives markets and other financial markets and makes recommendations on how to improve market structure and mitigate risk. Members include representatives of clearinghouses, exchanges, intermediaries, market makers, end-users, academia, and regulators.
